أسلحة المبارزة الثلاثة

Modern Olympic fencing is contested with three distinct weapons, each with its own rules, target area and style. The Oman Fencing Committee actively develops national competitors in all three disciplines.

Foil

14 athletes

A light thrusting weapon. Points are scored only with the tip, targeting the torso. Foil rewards patience, timing and priority.

Sabre

The fastest discipline. Scores are made with both the edge and the point, and the target is everything from the waist up. Sabre rewards explosive speed and aggression.
