شروط الاستخدام

Effective 2026-04-21

Acceptance

By using fencing.om or any subdomain, or by registering as an athlete, official, coach or club, you accept these Terms of Use together with our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.

Eligibility & accounts

You must be 18 or older to create an account. Minors may use the service only under a parent's or guardian's verified account. You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your credentials secure. Notify the Secretariat immediately of any unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

You agree not to: impersonate another person, scrape or mass-download data beyond the public APIs, upload malicious code, attempt to bypass authentication, disrupt the service, or use the platform to harass, defame, or post illegal content. Commercial re-distribution of OFC content requires written permission.

Content & ownership

All logos, text, photography, video, data and software on this site are owned by the Oman Fencing Committee or licensed to it, except where attributed otherwise. You may link to public pages freely. Re-publishing of articles is allowed with clear credit to "Oman Fencing Committee — fencing.om" and an active link back to the source.

User-submitted content

When you upload content — photos, match reports, comments — you grant the OFC a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute that content for the purposes of running the sport. You remain the owner. You confirm that you have the right to share what you upload and that it respects third-party rights.

Results & records

Official competition results and rankings are the authoritative record of the committee. Corrections are issued through the Technical Committee and published with change history. Unofficial data (predictions, third-party rankings) is provided as-is.

Availability & changes

We aim for high uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance windows are announced when feasible. The committee may add, change or remove features, and may suspend accounts that violate these terms after reasonable notice where possible.

Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Omani law, the OFC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the site. This does not limit liability for gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

Law & disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Sultanate of Oman. Sport-related disputes follow the OFC's Article 9 (appeal to the OOC arbitration body). Other disputes are subject to the courts of Muscat.
