First Aid Checklist

23-point pre-event medical readiness check across personnel, equipment, venue setup and paperwork. Tick off on arrival, sign at bottom, file with the event dossier.

Personnel

  • Qualified first-aider on duty (ROQ or equivalent)
  • Second responder identified + radio/phone on them
  • Safeguarding officer on-site and visible
  • Emergency roles posted at registration desk

Equipment

  • AED / defibrillator, battery + pads in-date
  • Sealed first-aid kit, sterile dressings + tape
  • Ice packs (instant) × 4 minimum
  • Saline / eyewash × 2 bottles
  • Disposable gloves (nitrile), box of 100
  • CPR pocket-mask / face-shields × 2
  • Rigid cervical collar (adult + child size)
  • Splints, small, medium, ankle
  • Emergency blanket (foil) × 2

Venue setup

  • Dedicated medical space away from bouts
  • Clear stretcher access to nearest exit
  • Emergency numbers posted (ROP 9999 / ambulance 9999)
  • Nearest hospital route known by medical lead
  • Emergency gate / exit unlocked during event

Paperwork

  • Medical-consent form signed for every minor on-site
  • Known-conditions register (asthma / allergy / epilepsy)
  • Incident report log ready (with carbon-copy pages)
  • Insurance certificate for the day on file
