If money is why you can\'t fence, or why your child can\'t, this programme exists for you. Confidential, need-based, and published in aggregate in our annual report.
Our commitment

No talented Omani child should be kept out of fencing by family finances. The Oman Fencing Committee operates a confidential scholarship programme covering licence fees, equipment, and travel for registered athletes facing genuine hardship.
What's covered

Depending on the case: annual OFC athlete licence, event entry fees, basic equipment (jacket, mask, glove, one weapon), travel to approved domestic tournaments, and in exceptional cases club monthly fees. International travel is handled separately under national-team funding.
Who can apply

(1) Omani national aged 8–25. (2) Registered with a licensed OFC club. (3) Demonstrable commitment to training (coach confirmation required). (4) Genuine financial need, supported by household documentation. Scholarship is need-based, not performance-gated, a strong young athlete still in development is as eligible as a national-team medallist.

Email the Secretariat via the form below. We'll send a short form + document checklist within 3 business days. The Finance Sub-Committee reviews applications monthly; decisions are confidential. All communication goes through encrypted email.

Scholarship recipients are never named publicly. No "scholarship athlete" labelling. Only the Finance Officer and Treasurer see household details; applications are destroyed 2 years after the last funded activity per our retention policy.
Where the money comes from

The scholarship fund is pooled from: (a) a fixed percentage of event entry fees, (b) partner and sponsor contributions tagged for development, (c) voluntary donations. The total disbursed and the number of beneficiaries (never names) are published in the annual report.
