Épée Jana Al Sharji is one of the founding faces of women's fencing in the Sultanate. She began training at the age of nine and has since amassed more than forty medals across domestic, Gulf, Arab and Asian competitions. Representing Al Bashaer Club, Jana won gold in the cadet women's épée event at the inaugural GCC Youth Games in the UAE in 2024, and in 2025 led Oman's haul at the West Asia Championship in Bahrain with five gold and two silver medals. Her philosophy — that losing is part of learning, not the end of the road — has shaped a generation of young Omani fencers.
