Biography

Israa Al Siyabi joined Oman's national fencing team in 2019 as the first woman to represent the Sultanate internationally in the sport. She holds an FIE junior foil licence (ID 54248) and has collected 26 gold, 10 silver and 13 bronze medals over her career. She won silver in cadet women's foil at the 2024 GCC Youth Games in the UAE and was part of the Oman cadet women's épée team that took bronze at the 2025 Asian Junior & Cadet Championships in Kuwait. At AWST 2026 in Sharjah she helped Salalah Club win team gold in épée and foil. In May 2026 she crowned the Sultanate's participation in the 4th GCC Games in Doha with back-to-back gold medals across two weapons: gold in women's individual épée on Day 1, then gold in women's individual foil on Day 2, one of the most significant individual results in the modern history of Omani women's fencing.
