Al Mutasim Al Maskari represents Quriyat Club and was named Oman's youth men's foil champion at the Sultanate of Oman Fencing Championship in 2021, confirmed by the Oman Fencing Committee's own announcement. He also contested the men's épée bracket at the same event, falling to eventual champion Al Harith Al Harthi 4-15 in the quarterfinal.

يمثّل المعتصم المسكري نادي قريات، وتُوّج بطلاً لشباب الرجال في الشيش في بطولة السلطنة للمبارزة 2021 بتأكيد رسمي من اللجنة العُمانية للمبارزة. شارك كذلك في منافسات سيف الرجال في البطولة ذاتها، وخسر أمام الحارث الحارثي بطل النسخة 4-15 في ربع النهائي.
